Viewing & Sharing Slices
Once a slice is saved, you can view it in the Brie web app and share it with anyone.
Viewing slices
From the extension:
- Click the Brie icon in your toolbar.
- Your recent slices appear in the popup. Click any slice to open it in the web app.
From the web app:
- Go to app.briehq.com.
- Navigate to your workspace.
- Browse, search, and filter your slices.
Sharing a slice
Every slice has a unique URL that you can share:
- Open the slice.
- Copy the URL from your browser's address bar.
Anyone with the link can view the slice — including screenshots, video, session replay, and technical context. No Brie account is required to view a shared slice.
Public slices
You can mark a slice as public, making it accessible via a public link. This is useful for sharing with external stakeholders or embedding in tickets.
Exporting
You can export individual captures from a slice:
- Screenshots — Download as PNG or JPEG.
- Video — Download as WebM or MP4.
Pro tip: Paste a slice link directly into Slack or your issue tracker — most tools will show a rich preview.
