Signing In

Brie uses a single, unified authentication screen for both new and returning users. There is no separate login or register page, just one flow at /auth.

How it works

  1. Go to app.briehq.com/auth or click the Brie icon in your browser toolbar and select Continue.
  2. Choose your preferred method: email, phone, Google, or Apple.
  3. Enter your email address (or phone number).
  4. If you already have an account, you'll be asked for your password.
  5. If you're new, Brie sends you a verification code to confirm your identity, then guides you through setting up your password.

That's it. Brie automatically detects whether you're signing in or creating an account, no need to pick between "Log in" and "Sign up."

Forgot your password?

If you've forgotten your password, you can reset it directly from the sign-in flow:

  1. Enter your email or phone number and proceed to the password screen.
  2. Click Forgot password? below the sign-in button.
  3. Brie sends a 6-digit verification code to your email or phone.
  4. Enter the code to verify your identity.
  5. Choose a new password and confirm it.

You'll be signed in automatically after resetting your password.

What happens when you sign up

When you authenticate for the first time, Brie automatically:

  • Creates your personal organization.
  • Sets up a default workspace.
  • Signs you in and redirects you to the dashboard.

You're ready to start capturing bugs right away.

Joining an existing team

If your team already uses Brie, ask them for a workspace invite link. When you click the link:

  1. You'll be directed to sign in (or create an account if you don't have one).
  2. After authentication, you're automatically added to the team's workspace with the role they assigned.

Pro tip: You can belong to multiple organizations, for example your company and a side project. Switch between them from the sidebar.
